WordPress developer – Join our dynamic team (Theme development & customization)

We are seeking a WordPress Expert specializing in theme development and customization to enhance our front-end and back-end applications. You will directly report to the CEO and collaborate with fellow developers within our compact, distributed team to craft top-tier software solutions through iterative development. As a WordPress Expert, you should exhibit strong motivation, teamwork, attention to detail, and adept problem-solving abilities.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop clean and efficient WordPress themes and customizations based on provided specifications and requirements.
  • Integrate various software components and third-party plugins into WordPress projects.
  • Ensure seamless deployment of WordPress programs and systems, verifying functionality and performance.
  • Analyze and assess existing WordPress software programs to identify areas for enhancement and optimization.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and implement upgrades to existing WordPress themes and customizations.
  • Collect and assess user feedback to continually improve WordPress solutions.
  • Generate technical documentation, including API documentation, for comprehensive reference and reporting purposes within WordPress development projects.

Technical Skills Required

  • Proficiency in PHP – able to write custom functions
  • Strong command of CSS3 and HTML5
  • Expertise in writing WordPress standard code
  • Proficiency in JavaScript or jQuery
  • Experience with WordPress short codes and Woo Commerce

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a WordPress Developer, specializing in theme development and customization.
  • Strong proficiency in analytical thinking and problem-solving, with a solid foundation in mathematics for effective problem-solving within the WordPress ecosystem.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and efficiently, showcasing self-motivation and exceptional self-management skills essential for success in WordPress development projects.

Educational Requirements

  • B.Sc./M.Sc. in Computer Science or Software Engineering from a reputable university, with a preference for English-medium institutions.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered, with a strong emphasis on candidates who have acquired their education primarily in English-medium environments
