WordPress Plugin Developer – on site / full time

We are seeking a highly skilled WordPress Core Plugin Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of WordPress core functionalities and have a proven track record of building custom plugins that integrate seamlessly into the WordPress ecosystem. As a WordPress Core Plugin Developer, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining custom plugins tailored to our clients’ specific needs.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop custom WordPress plugins from scratch based on project requirements.
  • Collaborate with the design and development teams to implement new features and functionalities.
  • Integrate third-party APIs and REST APIs into WordPress plugins.
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices.
  • Optimize plugin performance for speed and scalability.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues as they arise.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest WordPress trends and technologies.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience developing custom WordPress plugins.
  • In-depth knowledge of WordPress core functionalities.
  • Proficiency in third-party API integration and REST API.
  • Strong object-oriented programming (OOP) skills.
  • Familiarity with Shortcode API and WPDB.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate ideas and solutions effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to writing clean, well-documented code.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Fluent in English.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a WordPress Developer, specializing in Plugin development and customization.
  • Strong proficiency in analytical thinking and problem-solving, with a solid foundation in mathematics for effective problem-solving within the WordPress ecosystem.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and efficiently, showcasing self-motivation and exceptional self-management skills essential for success in WordPress Plugin development projects.

Additional Information

  • Working Days: Monday – Friday

  • Job Type: Full Time
  • Salary:35K to 55K depending on experience and qualifications. However, for exceptionally skilled and experienced candidates, we are open to extending the salary range.

Educational Requirements

  • B.Sc./M.Sc. in Computer Science or Software Engineering from a reputable university, with a preference for English-medium institutions.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered, with a strong emphasis on candidates who have acquired their education primarily in English-medium environments
